Eligibility for the African Scholarship Program 2026
All applicants must meet the set eligibility criteria to receive consideration for the African Scholarship Program 2025. The eligibility for the humanities scholarship program are
- Be fully employed in an African research institute or higher institution and be enrolled on a PhD program at an African University
- Be a PhD student access to international scholarship
- Be a PhD or early career postdoc researcher (within 4 years)
- The research should be in social sciences and humanities relating to contemporary Africa
- The research should address any of the five core areas of the institute
Preference will be given to individuals conducting gender-related research projects and research on the position of women in the society. The application must be in English. Incomplete applications will receive no consideration.
