Who Can Apply For the UN International Law Fellowship?
The application for the UN International Law Fellowship is open to individuals with involvement in international law activities. This include
- Government Nominees
- Academia
- Professionals from intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations and similar institutions
Self-funded participants are Government or organisations’ nominees who receive invitation to register for the UN International Law Fellowship and receive funding for the program from the nominee.
But, individuals referred to as “fellowship participants” receive full funding from the UN programme.
UN Fellowship International Law Eligibility
To be eligible for one of the most prestigious legal fellowships, the UN International Law Fellowship Programme, you must meet these qualifications
- Be from an eligible country
- Have a legal background
- Have professional experience in International law
- Fluency in French (Speaking and Writing)

How To Apply
Applicants for the UN International Law Fellowships 2025, one of the international legal fellowships must do the following
- Complete the application form in french
- Ensure the completion and signing of the transmission form by the senior official of the institution that is presenting one’s application
- Provide evidence of French Language Proficiency if one have a language other than french as its primary language. Evidence can be excellent work experience in French or French Language certificate
The application submission must be in two formats PDF or JPEG and MS-word. Scan the original application bearing the applicant’s signature to be in PDF. Also, submit the MS-word equivalent of the application.
