The CLEAR project is a collaboration between the Kintampo Health Research Centres and some other Health Research Centres in Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Ghana, and some universities in the US.

The CLEAR PhD grant aims to empower a few currently enrolled PhD students at recognized Ghana Higher Institutions. The scholarship program offers robust training, practical analytics and the opportunity to conduct community-based research for policy innovation.

Using pregnancy cohort data and Health and Demographic Surveillance Systems (HDSS), the CLEAR Project evaluates the impacts of climate change on morbidity and mortality in Ghana. CLEAR Scholarship Requirements

Every applicant for CLEAR Scholarships for PhD students must meet the following requirements and eligibility criteria to receive consideration for the funding

• Be in the second or third year of a doctoral programme
• Attend an internationally recognized higher institution in Ghana
• Get a commitment letter from your academic advisor
• Show interest in health and climate research
• Be familiar with programming languages like R and Python

CLEAR scholars receive exceptional benefits for two years. The benefits include the following

For the successful completion of the CLEAR Project, the Kintampo Health Research Centre Ghana partners with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai USA, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Ghana, Montana State University USA, Columbia University USA, and some health centres in Ghana like Navrongo Health Research Centre, Dodowa Health Research Centre, Research and Development Division of the Ghana Health Service.
