    • Access to Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the scholar throughout the award period. The health cover caters for the scholar’s basic medical expenses exempting pre-existing health conditions
    • Be eligible for the Pre-course English (PCE) fees – Students requiring in-country and in-Australia training gain access to accesses PCE when necessary
    • Access to fieldwork support may be available for eligible research students in the form of a direct route economy class airfare to their country of citizenship or within Australia. Individuals eligible for the fieldwork support have research awards and offer Masters by coursework with a component of research where fieldwork is compulsory)
    • Access to other supplementary academic support may be available, This is to enable and enhance a scholar’s academic experience and progress

    Eligible Areas Of Study

    The Government of Australia Scholarships funds education in specific areas of interest. The following are some of the eligible fields of study

    • Mining and energy
    • management and biodiversity preservation
    • Foreign policy and international security
    • Agriculture and food security
    • Gender, disability, and social inclusion
    • Climate change
    • Marine studies and resource management
    • Business and leadership studies, particularly small-and-medium enterprise management (e.g. tourism, artisanal and primary agricultural sectors)
    • Sustainable development

    Each country is assigned to specific areas of study. Applicants from that country apply for those specific programs.

    Terms and Conditions

    A scholar’s failure to leave for the home country will attract one reimbursing for the cost of education throughout the period of study.

    All recipients for the Government of Australia Scholarships for International Students are mandated to leave Australia at the end of the program. As such the successful candidates for the Australia scholarship for masters program must sign a contract to that effect before commencing a program.

    How To Apply For The Government of Australia Scholarships for International Students

    Application for the Australia Government scholarship for International Students takes place online. However, some countries require hardcopy application. The online application is done via the OASIS
